Sainte-Marie-de-Vaux
On the northern border of the Regional Natural Park, the commune sits above the listed site of the valley of the Vienne. In addition to the panorama where islands and large trees (ashes, oaks, poplars, beeches, limes) give a certain majesty to the land around, the site is also remarkable by its traditional villages, especially those of Chauzat, La Borderie and Le Dognon. One of these villages, "Chauzat", owes its reputation to Victor Blanchard, true amateur and collector (recognized) of Neolithic stones (flints, carved axes, scrapers, chisels), collected throughout his life by plowing his fields in Chauzat and Le Dognon.
